Community Consultation enables
communities to have input into decisions that affect their quality
of life. Groundwork has considerable experience of working directly
with local residents, businesses, schools and communities of
interest, and acts independently to carry out consultation mainly
around physical improvement / environmental schemes.
The work supports local community plans and encourages wider community involvement, the results of which strengthen schemes and improve chances for funding applications.
GreenIt works within a school setting to support children’s input to consultation via design workshops. Opinions are directly fed into local plans and feasibility studies. Again this supports development of appropriate schemes and can strengthen school work through links to the National Curriculum.
