Resident Volunteering
You could volunteer in a project you already know, join one you don't know or help to set up a new group. Work could include administration, general support, community events, gardening and marketing.
Volunteering is such a great way to meet new people, gain new skills and is a bonus when looking for employment. We encourage people to just give it a go and see for themselves the benefits volunteering can bring, whether as an individual or supporting a community group.
Groundwork’s Community Team
runs two volunteering programmes for local residents – CEVs
and NSAP, and we’d like more people to get involved.
CEVs (Communities Engaging Volunteers), is delivered in Walsall, from Bloxwich to Palfrey and Darlaston.
NSAP (North Sandwell Action Plan) is delivered in Yew Tree and Friar Park.
Both programmes:
- Support residents aged 16+ to gain new skills and experience, through volunteering with community projects
- Support groups to improve their quality of life and local green spaces
Free training, support and protective clothing is available to all who sign up.
If you live in the Black Country and interested in volunteering or joining local projects, please fill out the online volunteer interest form and we will get back to you.
