Investing In Volunteers

Investing In Volunteers Award

Groundwork Black Country have been approved by the Investing In Volunteers Board to receive the Investing In Volunteering award.

Groundwork is only the second organisation in the Black Country and the sixth in the West Midlands to receive the award.

Investing In Volunteers is the UK quality standard for all organisations which involve volunteers in their work.

The Standard enables organisations to comprehensively review their volunteer management, and also publicly demonstrates their commitment to volunteering.

To achieve the standard, organisations have to demonstrate that they are using good practices in ten different areas such as fair recruitment procedures, properly resourced programmes, policies and procedures are in place, and adequate induction and support.

If you are interested in volunteering with Groundwork please see our volunteering pages http://www.groundwork-bc.org.uk/index.asp?page=101
