Using the environment to raise young people’s confidence and aspirations
Groundwork’s experienced and qualified youth workers use the environment as a tool to raise the aspirations and confidence of the young people we work with through personal development, group support and development, and the pursuit of positive and healthy activities.
The West Midlands is one of the worst performing regions in terms of educational attainment. Groundwork has responded to this by ensuring that our personal development programmes are underpinned with nationally recognised qualifications. This reflects the Government’s move towards ensuring a range of qualifications are available which recognise more vocational and practical skills and learning.
